Dennis Brown, CD was one of Jamaica’s most prolific and best loved recording artistes. He was honoured with Distinction Commander Class, by the Jamaican Government. He recorded more than 75 albums and was one of the pioneers of Lovers Rock. Bob Marley dubbed him the “Crown Prince of Reggae.”
Dennis Brown was an inspiration and influence for many reggae singers from the late 1970s through to the 2000s. He had a career that many dreamed of. He worked with just about all the notable producers and musicians and was respected as a stalwart in the business.

At his funeral, the current Prime Minister of Jamaica at the time, P.J. Patterson and the former Prime Minister, Edward Seaga, both spoke immensely about him. He was so beloved that his name is called every single day, somewhere in Jamaica.
