Distinctive vocalist and one of Jamaica’s most talented songwriters, Justin Hinds, is probably best known as the leader of the Dominoes.  They were one of the first Rasta-inspired vocal groups who emerged in the ska days.

His work with Duke Reid’s Treasure Isle Records, where his most notable song, “Carry Go Bring Come” in 1963, went to number one in Jamaica.  He recorded sevently singles between 1964 and 1966, and was very popular during that time.  Although not as prominent in Jamaica in later years, Justin Hinds is a household name in Europe, especially in France.  Hinds died of lung cancer in 2005.
